General Information
The successful Regensburg course concept has been developed in collaboration with Mayo Clinic. During segment 1 (Sept. 22 - 24), our internationally recognized faculty utilizes modern didactic methods to teach the surgical anatomy, operative techniques and important concepts of patient selection, indications for therapy and more. Videos are utilized to better illustrate surgical details, live transmissions of surgical procedures allow for in depth study of the various techniques.
During the anatomic dissections (segment 2), the participants perform various surgical procedures on fresh frozen, non-fixed anatomic specimens. Videoendoscopic equipment and facial implants are available for each participant. Our expert faculty is available for one on one teaching. Ample time is reserved so the participants can study a number of procedures in detail over a full day in the anatomy lab.
The workshop auricular reconstruction (segment 3) runs parallel with the anatomic dissections. One of Europes leading experts, Ralph Magritz, teaches the carving of an auricular framework in a modified Nagata technique, utilizing a specifically designed synthetic rib model. The participants have the opportunity of exercising every important detail of this complicated procedure with step by step instructions.
Registration for segments 2 or 3 is only possible with registration for segment 1. Segments 2 and 3 can not be booked simultaneously.
