Honors and awards:

Dr. Gassner received multiple awards for his accomplishments in clinical research. He pioneered the use of Botulinum toxin to improve facial wound healing and to improve the appearance of facial scars. This method has been adopted in major medical centers world wide. Dr. Gassner was also awarded for his research on the surgical anatomy of face lift procedures.

Holger G. Gassner, M.D. is director of the division of facial plastic surgery, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, University of Regensburg, Germany.
As a diplomate of the American Board of Otorhinolaryngology (ABOTO.org) and "HNO Facharzt", Dr. Gassner is a board certified Otorhinolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeon accredited both in the United States and in Germany. He received his full Otorhinolaryngology training at the prestigious Mayo Clinic.
Subsequently he completed an ACGME accredited fellowship of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (AAFPRS.org) at the University of Washington, Seattle.  Dr. Gassner trained in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face under the direction of Wayne F. Larrabee jr., M.D., Craig S. Murakami, M.D., and Kris S. Moe, M.D..
