Alexander Berghaus is the chairman of the department of otorhinolaryngology at the University of Munich. Dr. Berghaus has developed new techniques in facial plastic surgery, including the platinum chain implant for facial reanimation surgery. In addition to his outstanding expertise in facial reanimation, Dr. Berghaus will share his tremendous experience in functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery.
Kofi D. O. Boahene, co-director of the division of facial plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins, is recognized for his expertise in facial reanimation techniques, facial reconstruction and advanced approaches in facial trauma surgery. Trained at the Mayo Clinic and fellowship trained by Peter Hilger, Dr. Boahene has great experience and lectures extensively on these subjects.
Oren Friedman, director of the division of facial plastic surgery at the Mayo Clinic, represents the experience of one of the largest surgical centers of excellence globally. The surgical courses at the Mayo Clinic are recognized for outstanding didactics and attract participants from all over the world. Dr. Friedman acts as co-director of the Regensburg Course, many aspects of the excellent Mayo Clinic courses will be incorporated into the Regensburg course through an official collaboration with the Mayo Clinic.
Kris Moe is the director of the division of facial plastic surgery of the University of Washington at Seattle. Dr. Moe is AAFPRS fellowship trained and was also trained by Ugo Fisch in advanced skull base surgery. He acclaimed international fame through his expertise in periorbital surgery. Dr. Moe pioneered novel transorbital approaches to the anterior skull base. He is also known for his expertise in facial reanimation and advanced facial reconstructive techniques.
Craig Murakami is co-director of the AAFPRS fellowship program and associate professor at the division of facial plastic surgery, University of Washington, Seattle. Craig Murakami is internationally recognized for his expertise in nasal and facial reconstruction, as well as open structure septorhinoplasty techniques. Prof. Murakami is frequent lecturer at international courses and meetings, and he is member of the board of directors of the AAFPRS.
Julian Rowe-Jones is internationally recognized for his expertise in rhinoplasty surgery. Dr. Rowe-Jones is a frequent lecturer at international conferences and meetings. As director of the fellowship program of the EAFPS, Dr. Rowe-Jones has been instrumental in promoting education and training of young surgeons accross Europe.
Marc Scheithauer is director of the surgical instruction courses in rhinoplasty and nasal surgery at the department of otorhinolaryngology, University of Ulm, Germany. Dr. Scheithauer specializes on various aspects of open and closed septorhinoplasty and other techniques in facial plastic surgery.
David Sherris is former director of the division of facial plastic surgery at the Mayo clinic and now chair at SUNY Buffalo. Dr. Sherris has tremendous experience in rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation and facial reconstruction, and he is recognized throughout the world of facial plastic surgery as an outstanding teacher and lecturer. As co-program chair of the Regensburg course, Dr. Sherris will lend his experience and expertise to provide the participants with the best possible lectures and didactics.
Jonathan Sykes is the director of the division of facial plastic surgery at the University of California at Davis Medical Center. Dr. Sykes has contributed enormously to the advancement of facial plastic surgery. As faculty at international courses and meetings, Dr. Sykes lectures extensively on surgical rejuvenation of the face, rhinoplasty, reconstruction of clefts and craniofacial defects, patient communication skills and many more.
Jan-Abel Tasman is director of the section of facial plastic surgery at the St. Gallen Hospital. He specializes in advanced reconstruction of the nose, rhinoplasty and periorbital rejuvenation techniques. As general secretary of the EAFPS and frequent lecturer at national and international conferences, Jan-Abel Tasman has contributed substantially to the advancement facial plastic surgery in Europe.
